We offer a free initial consultation within a 20 mile radius of St Albans.
Our design prices reflect the plot size, complexity of design and features included in the design brief. As every design is different the exact cost for your project will be discussed at the initial consultation.

The process of design to construction starts with a free initial consultation to discuss requirements and expectations. If the client decides to progress with a design following this consultation a full site survey is undertaken to determine sizes, elevations and the position of services (pipes, drainage, etc). From the initial brief taken at the first consultation we then produce a set of scale plans and a mood board showing the proposed hard landscaping layouts, areas of planting and proposed material choices. We then meet again to talk in detail about these proposals and choices of plants and materials. From this meeting we can then produce your final set of drawings showing the final hard landscape layouts, the planting plan, any lighting and irrigation plans and if required any technical drawings of any bespoke features. At this stage we would then provide a quotation to undertake the construction work.

Penchant Landscapes has wide experience of constructing, planting and project managing landscape projects throughout the South East and we would provide you with a detailed quotation for implementing the design.

We are also happy to work with other contractors of your choice on a project management basis to ensure that the design is implemented to a high standard and is true to the design. Our team of craftsmen has huge experience of working in both traditional and contemporary materials including natural stone walling, glass, stained glass, wrought ironwork, stainless steel, copper, most woods and paving types.
We offer a flexible approach and can cater for any level of involvement. All of the gardens featured in the portfolio have been built in house and we do not use subcontractors so we can maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail throughout the project.
Interior Landscaping
We also offer a design and installation service for areas such as conservatories, atriums and planting throughout the home. The process of design through to construction is the same as with an exterior project but we offer a flat rate price of £250 for each area to be designed.
